From Recent Trips . . .
"Words don't adequately express my thanks to you
for the three great fly fishing excursions you provided my family in 2005. Since you began
teaching and guiding us in 2004, our enjoyment for fly fishing on the beautiful White
River System has grown steadily. My wife had never fished before, and your patient and
insightful teaching has provided her with a developing hobby we can enjoy together in the
great outdoors. My Dad has fished for many years, but he is always asking when Davy is
taking us fishing again.
The chance to catch a fish of a lifetime this past October --- a 26 inch female rainbow
--- was the high point of 2005! Without your patient coaching and adept boating skills
during the 40 minute struggle, there would have been no trophy bow.
The most important thing I have learned as a teacher is to teach people only what they can
appreciate at their present level of experience. It's so easy to be overwhelmed with
information you can't yet appreciate. You have a great knowledge of the art and science of
fly fishing, but I have observed how effectively you tailor your comments to fit the
person to whom they are directed. If we would all just listen more keenly to what you say,
we would improve faster and catch more trout.
Finally, I admire the great respect you show for the wonderful resources the White River
System affords us fishermen. We just can't wait to get back to your bed and breakfast and

"The fishing was as good or better than what I
have experienced in California, Alaska, and Idaho. My brother-in-law Brian and I
left our lakefront cabin on Table Rock lake at 6AM and drove the 1.5 to 2 hours southeast
to Flippin, AR to meet Davy. I had seen him featured on several fly fishing shows on OLN
TV. We picked up some lunch to eat on the boat and were on the water by 9AM. Davy is an
incredible guide and within 5 minutes we were getting into fish. Caught mostly rainbows,
but also some cutts and browns.The river also has brookies.The fishing was fast and
furious. Brian and I each landed over 20 trout, had at least 15 long distance releases,
and about 30 additional strikes. This was the 5th day that Brian had ever fly fished. We
both had drifts in the boat where we were catching 11" to 15" rainbows on every
3rd cast. It was awesome."

Thanks for the fantastic fishing trip for my son and I. Two fishermen, seven hours, and 101 trout!! Unbelieveable!! The browns and cutthroat were great bonuses on top of the rainbows. "Rex and I were treated to a fantastic fishing experience on the White River near Flippin, Arkansas. It was all thanks to you. At a time when the river was high due to heavy rains and fishing should have been mediocre at best, you came through for us with flying colors. We landed at the airport at 7am where you picked us up and then headed for the river. By the time you treated us with a great shore lunch at noon we had released 50 beautiful trout that were the strongest I have ever caught. And what a variety; rainbows, cutthroat, and native browns.
